Manager
The interview process was way too long and felt fake, with many young professionals who don't really know basic HR stuff. Honestly, they should keep their personal life stories and their over-the-top compliments to themselves. As a professional HR person, you know that leading a candidate on for ages with fake praise is just unprofessional, not kind, and totally unnecessary. Their whole interviewing approach needs some serious help from a real HR professional. There's no need to string someone along for weeks with smiles, laughs, personal chats, and compliments, only to dump them via email. And it's not even about the rejection itself, it's the three-plus weeks of wasted time. They had eight interviews. EIGHT interviews... a true HR professional could figure out a rejection in just two interviews. And yeah, there's a reason why MOST, if not ALL, of the management and supervising folks in some departments are young, white, and inexperienced.
- Did you talk about your dogs?
Escalation Manager
Conducted over phone and video calls, fully remote. They were very understanding since I was applying from out of state. Started with an email screening, then a phone call, followed by video group interviews. The whole process was very respectful of my time and accommodating. The managers and supervisors were really focused, caring, and invested in the interview process.
- What is the biggest liability for the company?
Senior Manager
Recruiter phone screen. They mentioned they were establishing a new department and it would be a small team. The expectation was that the Senior Manager would essentially function as a Senior Director.
- Can you discuss your background and experience?
