First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at RouteOne.
Compliance Analyst
The interview was largely a review of my resume, although the promised follow-up never happened. The conversation was smooth, and most of the discussion revolved around my past experience as listed on my resume. The follow-up could have been better, as they said they would get back to me.
- Can you tell me about your experience as listed on your resume?
Business Analyst
I went through a hiring process for a contract-to-hire role, and it involved interviews with two people. There was a scheduling mix-up with the HR manager regarding the meeting time, but it ended up being fine since I got there an hour before they expected. The interview was decent and lasted about 45 minutes. They said some good things about my answers and portfolio, but I didn't end up getting the job, likely because my experience wasn't what they were looking for. Before they'd even schedule the interview, I had to do a couple of assessments: one for writing requirements and another logic test. The requirements task was okay and kind of fun, but the logic test was a bit confusing; I wasn't sure if a question was a trick or just poorly written.
- The HR person inquired about my salary expectations before we even set up the interview.
- I was asked to provide a written requirements sample before the interview.
- I was required to complete a logic test before the interview.
Database Developer
So I had this interview process that dragged on from April through June. They kept saying they were considering me but never gave a clear yes or no. The first interview was pretty standard. Then, unexpectedly, they hit me with a second technical round, which they said wasn't usual. During this second round, the questions felt strange, almost like they were fishing for solutions to their own problems instead of assessing me for the role. Definitely not going for a third round.
- What's the process for importing test data into Oracle?
Software Engineer Intern
I had a 15-30 minute phone chat with the recruiter. They asked me some basic stuff about myself and told me about the company. Then we went into some small behavioral questions. It went well so they told me more about the job, like the work environment, schedule, and how long the program is. They were really respectful of my experience and said the pay would be between $20-25 an hour.
