Analyst
Recruiter reached out regarding a potential job opportunity and my application. After an initial phone screen, a group/panel interview was scheduled. The interview lasted about 90 minutes, until an interviewer had to leave for an emergency. The interview heavily focused on my college and high school experiences, GPA, and former teachers/managers, rather than my previous job. I felt like my answers were a waste of their time based on their body language, yet they repeated questions. I wondered about the relevance of my high school life to my current daily work, especially since it's been over 15 years. They even discussed carpooling to save money due to limited parking and asked if I wanted to meet potential carpool buddies. A second interview was planned but cancelled the evening before due to a last-minute meeting. Three days later, I got an email saying they were ending my candidacy and moving forward with other applicants.
- What would your manager from 2003 say about you if we called them today?
- What was your high school GPA and who did you look up to in high school?
Cashier
I heard back from the company by phone within about a week of applying online. The call was around 20 minutes. Then, I went in for an in-person interview about two days later. It was a pretty straightforward interview that lasted for about half an hour to forty-five minutes. The manager asked me a variety of questions, from my high school study habits to my work ethic and how others would describe me.
- Can you describe a time you resolved an issue?
- Tell me about a time you received excellent customer service at a grocery store.
- What situations tend to frustrate you?
Production Technician
There were 2 interviews. The first one was with a corporate HR rep who went over my resume and asked about career parts she had questions on. The second interview was with the people who are looking to fill the position. They asked about specific tasks I performed in related positions and when there weren't any, they asked about my attitude in dealing with work situations.
- Can you tell me about your previous work experience?
- What relevant skills have you utilized in past roles?
- What is your familiarity with the equipment used in this role?
Logistics Manager
Hello I am Clermont Ferrand and hold a degree in mathematics and a professional aptitude certificate in logistics and transport. It's been two and a half years since I worked in this field. I would be very happy to exchange with you. I accept my most distinguished greetings to you, sir.
- Are you happy with the company's general atmosphere?
- What were your main satisfactions last year?
- What were the main difficulties you faced this year?
