First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Rothman Institute.
Biostatistician
The first contact was a phone screen, followed by a video call that then led to an in-person interview. They were nice and responsive until the coding assessment, after which they went silent for two weeks. I had to reach out for an update, and a few days later received an automated message saying they chose other candidates.
- Do you have R programming skills?
Registered Nurse
I applied online and then had a phone interview. After that, I interviewed with the nurse manager. Finally, I had interviews with two physicians, one very early at 6:45 am, and I was fine with them rescheduling the other one. The recruiter and I talked almost daily, and she said the nursing manager and she liked me. I sent thank you and follow-up emails, but never heard back. I know how busy recruiting can be, but a quick email letting me know I wasn't selected would have been appreciated after all our contact.
- Could you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
Research Coordinator
It was a 3 round interview process. I met with the head of the research department and a physician I would be working closely with. They asked some solid questions and I had plenty of time to ask questions back. The interviews were conducted in the office space.
- Tell me about your research experience.
- What is your knowledge of GCP?
- What is your knowledge of IRBs?
Prosthetic/Orthotics Technician
The initial part of the interview process was a general phone call where we talked about the job's duties and what's needed. After that, the second interview was mainly a discussion about my past work, and how I could bring value to the role.
- Can you elaborate on your resume?
- In what ways could you contribute to this role?
