Manufacturing Technician
We had to submit our CVs first, then there was a video interview, followed by an online assessment. After that, we had an in-person assessment day with everyone else who applied. This day included a one-on-one interview, a gowning/PPE exercise, and a group task.
- Can you share an instance where you encountered failure and describe how you managed to overcome it?
Quality Control
The interview process was really chill and welcoming. They started with nice introductions and made sure I knew what to expect. It felt more like a chat than a formal interview. They really listened, pointed out my strengths, and I felt free to talk openly. They gave me good feedback and thanked me at the end. I felt respected, valued, and comfortable, which gave me a good vibe about the company and the job.
- Can you explain fundamental concepts related to QC?
- Tell me about a time you faced a problem and your approach to resolving it.
- How would you deal with a particular scenario you might face in quality control?
Manager
The interview process felt pretty standard. It was a two-person panel, but only one person actually asked questions or showed interest, which was off-putting. They really focused on my knowledge of the company and how I could contribute to their values. I sent a couple of emails asking for feedback, but never got a response. Ultimately, I got an offer.
- What is your understanding of our company?
- In what ways can you contribute to our company values?

I had a really great initial chat with HR over the phone, and then I was invited to interview at their office. The hiring manager was over an hour late and spent most of the interview bragging about how great Roslin is. After his self-praise, he briefly asked me about my past work. He mentioned that the work standard at my previous job wasn't up to par for Roslin, which is understandable since I was looking to improve my own standards. He wasn't interested in my willingness to learn or improve. He was self-absorbed and didn't seem to really listen. I felt like maybe HR made a mistake shortlisting me. He concluded by saying he wouldn't waste any more of my time. Obviously, I didn't get the job, but a little respect would have been nice!
- How would you deal with missing information in a worksheet?
