I got bought out by another company but still had to go through HR. They asked basic stuff like "what are your strengths and weaknesses". It was pretty chill since it was just a pre-screen.

The interviewers were nice and easy to talk to. They checked my resume and asked some technical questions related to my past optical experience. I talked about what I know, and then answered some basic questions about myself, my goals, etc. I got to ask a lot of questions before the interview ended, and they gave me some really honest and useful answers.

I interviewed with A - - and M - - - - - - - the two managers at the McHenry, IL location. A- - said she would call back to let me know her decision, and even said that was a pet peeve of hers when she was interviewing. However, she never did. I followed up with a thank you letter and two phone calls, but nothing. I noticed they still have the job posting. I have over two years of medical office receptionist experience and thought the interview went well. Red flags before the interview: these two women, plus another, talked about food and candy for about 5 minutes while I stood there, joking and eating. The waiting room was dirty with bad stains on the floor. A customer waited while they joked. Based on this, it wouldn’t be a place I’d work or be a patient.

I sent in my resume and cover letter to the hiring director. They got back to me and we set up an in person interview at the office that's closest to my place. The interview itself was pretty simple.
