I applied online for an Office Assistant job, but a few days later, I got a call from the recruiter who set up a phase to phase interview with her for the next day. I dressed professionally and arrived at the distribution center 10 minutes before the interview time. I was then directed to the office where I filled out an application. Afterward, the recruiter came, and we sat on a couch in the showroom. She informed me that the interview was for a sales position, which I was okay with, so we continued. She asked standard sales questions that were easy to average. When we finished, she mentioned they were still interviewing others and would contact me for a second interview if I qualified. It's been 5 days, and I'm still waiting for that call.

I applied online and the manager contacted me the next day for an interview. I arrived 5 minutes early and was sent to the back offices. I approached an employee's office and was told the manager would be back in 10 minutes and to wait on the sofas on the sales floor. The manager walked in 5 minutes later, but I waited and filled out an application for another 30 minutes until the manager finally showed up. After scanning my application, he briefly told me about the position, asked if I had any questions, and then said they were just keeping applications on file and not actually hiring. The interview was 5 minutes. It felt like a waste of time since they weren't hiring.

I got a call first from someone who was very professional, and then she emailed me the details for a face-to-face interview. I got there 10 minutes early, but the manager was about 15 minutes late. He was nice though, and we ended up talking for over half an hour. He actually said he was pleased with the interview, but mentioned he'd prefer someone with more experience and maybe a bit less of a Spanish accent.
