Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at RONA.
Sales Specialist
When I first got hired, I was in an associate role. During the interview process for that position, I was asked a few straightforward questions. These mostly involved hypothetical scenarios where the key takeaway was to prioritize the customer and to ask for help when unsure about something. After a year in that role, I was promoted to a Specialist position.
- Can you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
Sales Specialist
It was a chat with the Manager, then if that went well, they did a background check. After the background check was all clear, they offered me the job right there at the store.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What are your key strengths and areas for development?
- Describe your approach to managing difficult customer interactions.
Sales Specialist
The interview process was pretty straightforward. First, you talk to an HR Manager. If they like you, they set up an interview with an Assistant Store Manager. Then you talk to two Assistant Store Managers, one after the other. Each of those interviews is pretty quick, only about 10 minutes.
- Can you tell us about your experience and your goals?
- What do you know about Lowe's and why do you want to work here?
