Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at RONA.
Customer Service Representative
The initial interview was conducted by a recruiter who asked a couple of questions and it concluded in about 5 minutes. It seemed more complicated than necessary for a CSR job, and I don't think multiple interviews are really needed for an entry-level role like this.
- Can you discuss your previous work history?
Customer Service Associate
It was a straightforward and basic interview process. The associates I spoke with were nice and answered my questions. It's pretty hard to fail this interview if you do some research beforehand on their values and company culture, but that's true for most companies. I liked the welcoming vibe during the interview, which is good for people who are new to job hunting.
- Could you define what customer service means to you?
- Can you tell me about your availability and if you have flexibility?
- What made you apply to our company?
Customer Service Representative
I applied online, then there was a 15-minute survey to check my customer service scenarios and personality. After that, a phone interview about my availability and long-term career goals. Lastly, an in-person interview with questions about competence and customer service scenarios.
- How would you handle an upset customer?
- Describe a situation where you and a colleague disagreed.
- What good qualities from your past experiences can you bring to this job?
