First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Rollins College.
Resident Assistant
The interview was split into two parts. First, I had a group interview where I had to give a presentation and then answer questions. The second interview involved multiple candidates doing different activities to see how we work together and assess our skills.
- What are your strategies for managing challenging resident scenarios?
Intern
The interview process involved a conversation, a personality test, and discussions with the team lead and other team members to gauge fit with the role and culture. It was more focused on behavioral aspects than technical skills. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.
- Can you discuss your previous experiences?
- What about your project experience?
- What are your plans for the future?
Project Coordinator
There are usually a few interviews that happen. First, HR screens you. If you seem like a good fit, they send your resume to the hiring manager. Depending on how big the team is, there might be a few interview rounds. For example, you might have a panel interview with the people you'd be working with in the department or from other departments. Then, you'll have a 1:1 meeting with your potential supervisor. The very last step is normally the 'blessing' stage where you meet with a top administrator who asks some questions and decides if you're a good candidate.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What is your motivation for seeking employment with this company?
- Could you explain how your past experience aligns with the requirements of this position?
Student Services Coordinator
We had an online interview for the first round. Then, a pretty long 3-hour second interview. It was split into three one-hour sessions with different team members. The first session was mainly about getting to know you and your personality. The second session focused on hypothetical situations and your past experiences.
- Could you share some of your accomplishments?
- Describe a situation where you experienced failure.
- What is your definition of a leader?
