First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Rolfson Oil.
Recruiter
I applied online and got an email from the owner's family member to set up an in-person interview. We had to wait for all the panelists, who were also family members of the owner, to arrive, so we started late. The interview was informal, and we discussed my education, experience, and how I might recruit new team members. At the end, they said I'd hear back by the end of the week, but I never did, even after I reached out.
- What resources would you utilize to identify prospective candidates?
- What strategies would you employ for recruiting new members?
Human Resources
I was brought back in right away. I felt comfortable even though I think I met with the owner. He was really nice to me and the employees. The questions they asked were straightforward and didn't try to lead me. It was probably the easiest interview I've ever done.
- How would you manage several tasks at once?
Attorney
I was contacted by HR for an in-person interview. When I arrived at the location, I was initially directed upstairs, then back to the original location. It was very disorganized. I then waited for 20 minutes while listening to HR and other employees discuss a former employee's medical condition. To add to the disorganization, the resume of the next candidate was left in front of me. This company seems very disorganized and could really use some compliance policies, especially regarding confidentiality.
- They really pressed me on what salary I was expecting.
Property Manager
I saw the job on Indeed and decided to go to the office to hand in my application myself. The owners interviewed me right away, it was super short, and they hired me two days later.
- Can you share your biggest accomplishment in life?
