The interview process started with a phone screen, then I had a chat with the hiring manager. After that, there was a modeling assessment that took about 2 hours. Finally, I met with the Director/VP who asked some confusing, industry-specific technical case questions that felt like a setup given my background. Otherwise, the process was pretty standard.

Behavioral Technical Case

The interview process had 4 rounds: a recruiter chat, then a hiring manager interview, followed by a case study, and finally an onsite panel interview. They really focused on assessing my behavioral and technical skills. It seemed important to them that I could explain my reasoning and thought process well.

Applied to Roku January 2020. Had a recruiter phone screening, followed by a call with the hiring manager a few days later. Then had 3-4 in person interviews at the NYC office, even though the job was in LA. Got ghosted after the in-person interviews. Reached out to the original recruiter but got no response. Found out the recruiter was a contractor and got a new contact. They finally got back to me, apologizing for the communication issues and delay. Was told they'd get back to me again, but when they didn't, I followed up again and apologized, and then never heard back.
