The interview process was tough but clear. I was never surprised. This is important for building trust. It had a video chat, an in-person presentation to 5 people (3 on video), and two more video interviews (one with the CEO). Since the role was remote, meeting in person wasn't possible. But I felt I had everyone's full attention on video calls. The presentation was key, as it simulated being in a biz dev role. It made me do a lot of research on the company, their demos, and interviews. This process ensured I did the research and understood the company/product deeply, which helps on day 1. The whole process from the first call to the offer took under a month, which is impressive for Q4 at a retail company.

Behavioral Technical Case

So I initially spoke with the General Manager and the hiring manager, and they seemed pretty happy with me. Then I had another chat with an Account Manager who was visiting the regional office. That's when I found out the Account Manager actually reports to a different department. In the end, I got the rejection from that Account Manager, who wasn't the hiring manager or even HR. I'm not really sure how much HR was involved in the whole thing.
