First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Roig Lawyers.
Legal Assistant
I applied online at roiglawyers.com and the Senior Staff Recruiter called me. She asked me about my experience and then set up an in-person interview. I went in that week and after arriving, reception directed me to the meeting room. I talked with the Senior Staff Recruiter for a thorough interview where we discussed my experience, resume, what Roig Lawyers offers, and their core values. I was impressed by the organization and professionalism. Next, I met with the Senior Human Resources Manager and the Legal Assistant Manager. They asked about my experience and other questions to gauge my skills, character, and how I handle stress. I learned more about Roig's positive culture during this time. My final interview was with the Legal Operations Director. We went over the job duties and responsibilities in detail. We compared my skills and education to see how I'd fit the role. It was a positive, professional, and thorough experience. Lastly, I took a short test to assess my typing speed and attention to detail.
- Can you tell me about your qualifications and how you'd handle working under pressure?
- How have you dealt with stressful situations in the past and how did you manage them?
TDA
The interview process is super stressful. Once I got to the main office, the receptionist was really nice. Then, I was invited into a room and they offered me water, coffee, and hot cocoa. My stress level went way down from a 20 to a 4 (out of 10).
- Can you tell me about a time you handled criticism?
Attorney
It was a two-step process. First, I spoke with HR, and then with the managing partner. They asked standard interview questions. The managing partner focused on my experience in the specific area of law I applied for. It wasn't overly challenging. There was a week-long gap between the interviews. The HR person was friendly and seemed genuinely interested in my personality and my fit for the role.
- What is your perspective on the importance of a healthy work-life balance?
