Director of SEO and Content
Bad communication from the head recruiter. They felt detached during the interview and then were told to share times to meet with the hiring manager, and that she would follow up regardless of the outcome, but she never did. I find this very unprofessional. I would not recommend this company.
- How many people have you managed in your career?
Paid Social Manager
The interview process was straightforward, with questions focused on direct experience relevant to the job description. I decided not to move forward due to the company's inability to expand the salary range listed. I also got the impression the company is in survival mode, possibly due to a recent merger and lack of transparency from new leadership. They admitted the company culture has suffered, and the social team is overworked with lean teams post-layoffs, with individuals managing up to 10 clients. I'd avoid this role unless desperate.
- Do you have experience running B2B campaigns?
Account Manager
The interview process was quite extensive, spanning about 3-4 weeks with approximately 10 different people across 4-5 rounds, even meeting the CEO and COO. I felt each interview went well, receiving positive feedback like "you are very impressive" and "I think your experience is a good fit for what we are looking for." This made the final HR round, where they discussed benefits and onboarding, seem like a sure thing. It was shocking to learn I didn't get an offer because they "weren't sure I was qualified for the role." This is confusing given the 6+ hours of interviews over 3-4 weeks where everyone indicated I was a great fit. It felt like a waste of time. Someone mentioned they were "interviewing for a while because they couldn't find a good fit." With over 12 years in marketing and advertising, being told I'm not "qualified for an account manager role" felt outrageous and insulting, especially since it's a basic role in the industry. It's a big loss for them.
- What are some of the current difficulties faced by marketers?
Account Manager
It's a lengthy but thorough process, taking over a month to ensure the right match for the company. It involves interviews with an internal recruiter, your direct manager, a couple of future colleagues, and then several VPs and the CEO. It was really cool as an entry-level candidate to get to speak with the top leaders.
