First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ROHM.
Intern
The interview process had two technical rounds, each over an hour, then a manager and HR round. It felt like things were going well. But, after the last round, no one got back to me for almost three weeks even though I sent follow-up emails. I finally got a rejection email because I followed up myself. The interviews were tough and professional, but the lack of updates afterward was a bummer. They could really improve the candidate experience with better communication.
- Can you explain basic gates with a 2x1 multiplexer?
Design Verification Engineer
My first interview experience involved an exam, which was structured with different levels. It reminded me of board exam questions. Although the review courses covered problem-solving methods, I felt unprepared for this specific part of the exam.
- Tell me about a technical situation you've encountered that relates to your role as an employee.
- Describe a situation you might face as an employee and how you would handle it.
Key Account Manager
Had one online meeting and then an onsite meeting with management. The overall process was pretty smooth and moved fast. The interviewers seemed decent and asked straightforward questions. The company covered my travel expenses.
- Could you describe your previous customer experience?
- Please prepare and deliver a presentation covering the company's portfolio.
Software Engineer
There was an exam with some programming questions, so make sure you're ready to code. You'll have to turn your camera on so they can watch you. It's a good idea to brush up on programming languages commonly used in the software industry because they might ask about them.
- Can you code this specific problem in Java?
- Can you code this specific problem in Python?
- What are the most common programming languages used in the software industry today?
