First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Rogers Behavioral Health.
Therapist Case Specialist
Applied online, recruiter called to schedule an interview. I had one interview with two people. A day later, they called to say the position was filled but they had another opening. I interviewed with one person for that role. Three days later, they called to offer me the position. The offer was quite low, especially given my experience with Rogers and compared to other offers. They wouldn't explain why the pay was low, just that they had to consider what they pay other therapists. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you're okay with being severely underpaid and not getting all the information upfront.
- Can you tell me about how you handle conflict? (Asked three times)
- What are your time management skills?
- How would you describe your organization skills?
Therapist
Phone screening with a recruiter to check if your needs align with the company's needs. Then schedule an interview. It was a 45-minute interview with 2 people for the specified location and specialty. We heard back within a week about their decision.
- Can you describe a conflict you experienced with a supervisor?
- What's your perspective on harm reduction when treating addiction?
- What is your theoretical orientation?
Therapist
The interview process was really fast and efficient. I had some initial phone screens, then a zoom meeting. Onboarding went pretty smoothly too. I just wish they'd been more on top of the state requirements for licensure, that turned into a bit of a headache for me since I wasn't a recent grad. Part of the issue was also that the State Licensing Board was so slow to respond.
- What is your approach when dealing with a patient who is having a particularly difficult day?
Residential Counselor
I applied online and then got an email the next day for a phone interview, which I scheduled for a few days out. The HR person called me 10 minutes late, saying she kept hitting snooze on the reminder. The interview itself went okay, and they talked about wages, which I wasn't anticipating, so be ready for that. A few days after that, I got a call for an in-person interview. However, I couldn't get in touch with the person to schedule it, despite leaving messages and calling at various times. I even emailed the HR person from the phone interview, but got no reply. I'm not sure if they were just leading me on or were simply busy filling positions, but after a week of trying, I moved on.
- What would you do if a patient requested your phone number?
- Can you tell me about your past work experience that you believe would be beneficial for this position?
- Could you describe a situation where you worked in a team and encountered a problem?
