First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Roeslein & Associates.
Mechanical Engineer
The hiring process was simple. First, I had a chat with a recruiter. After that, I had meetings with the Team Lead and the Engineering Manager. I got to ask my questions and find out more about the job.
- What are your hobbies outside of work?
Technical Writer
So, there were 2 virtual interviews. I had other offers and let them know, and they moved pretty quickly to give me an offer and negotiate. The only person in my interviews was who would be my direct supervisor, but I was on a bit of a timeline crunch as I had a couple of other offers, so I’m unsure if that is normal.
- They asked why I wanted to make a career change and enter this specific field.
Human Resources
The interview took about 2 hours and was very thorough, which I appreciated. After the interview I sent a follow up email and did not hear back for another week. I then sent another follow up email and was told the hiring manager was traveling and would respond soon. After that, nothing. Radio silence. I find it extremely unprofessional for a company to be far enough along in the interview process to meet someone and then ghost them.
- Which departments have you collaborated with in the past?
Project Manager
It was a pretty fast and pleasant interview process overall. First, there was a phone chat with an HR person that lasted about 45 minutes. They asked standard behavioral questions. Then, I had an in-person interview with a group of four people, including my potential manager. That part was nice and felt more like a casual chat.
- Can you share an instance where you were assigned a project with little or no prior knowledge, and describe how you tackled it?
