First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Rocky Vista University.
Counselor
The interview process had three steps: a one-way interview, a small team interview, and a presentation interview. The one-way interview was my least favorite part, but I get that lots of places do this first to check out the employee.
- What would you title your Ted Talk, and what's the reasoning behind it?
Interviewer

There were quite a few blunders and mixed signals from the hiring directors. Based on other reviews and my own experience, this company appears to be pretty disorganized.
- Tell me about a situation where you had to manage several different tasks that were all coming from various sources.
Assistant Professor
I met with the whole committee first, then had a bunch of one-on-one chats with different professors and HR people. After that, we had lunch and I did my teaching demo. Then, I got a tour and talked one-on-one with the department chair.
- What strategies would you employ to maintain student engagement in a large lecture hall of 300 individuals?
