Applied online, and then about two weeks later, I heard back via email to schedule a phone interview. The phone screening was with a senior engineering manager, and it was mostly just standard HR-type questions, nothing technical.

It was a panel interview with an Engineering Manager, Sr Engineer, and Design Manager. All three were very polite and professional, but it was never stuffy and never uncomfortable. They were good humored and asked a series of HR formulated questions. They were definitely easily answered for my level of experience but may have been tricky for an entry level designer. After the questions and general discussion about what they do and my professional experience, I sat down with the Sr. Engineer and demonstrated my skills in SolidWorks. All in all, it was a very pleasant interview, one of the very few that I actually enjoyed.

I got a referral from a friend and then emailed the hiring manager. From there I scheduled an interview. The interview was pretty easy since it was only for an internship. It was a video call with about 4 people on the other end, and it was half behavioral and half technical questions. A few days after, I got a call saying I got the job.
