So I applied online, and then they called me for an in-person interview. We set up the time and date over the phone and they confirmed it via email. When I got there, the HR person met me right away. I had a really professional interview with someone from quality. We talked about my experience and what I'm qualified for. The interviewer was super knowledgeable and friendly. The company vibe seemed pretty laid-back, like not many people wore suits, but no jeans either. The workspaces were neat and organized. After my interview, the HR person gave me a tour and answered everything else I wanted to know. Honestly, Rockwell Collins looked like a great place to work, too bad they didn't pick me.

I applied online for a GNC Engineer position at Rockwell Collins in Warrenton, VA. An admin assistant emailed me to set up a phone interview with a hiring manager for the next day. The interview started with small talk, then I was asked to grab a pen and paper for some physics questions to solve right then. I failed miserably and was told I was unqualified and the manager hung up. I was surprised by the physics exam in a phone interview without any warning, and I didn't even have a calculator. It felt like I was set up to fail, and the whole process felt unprofessional. Hopefully, you'll be ready for a quiz and won't have the same embarrassing experience.
