First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Rockwell Automation.
Technical Sales Engineer
The hiring process was super smooth and they kept me in the loop the whole time. They sent over all the prep materials way ahead of schedule. Most of the interview was about how I'd handle different situations. Overall, it was a really good experience.
- Can you share an example of your experience with teamwork and behavioral aspects?
- Could you describe a time you faced a challenge related to teamwork?
Sales Engineer
It felt a bit like being interviewed as though I was right out of college. I was asked about a famous person I admire. The questions were good and the pace of the interview was good, I was asked to expand on my answers and give examples. When asked about the challenges the company faced, I think I knew their products a little too well and maybe hit a little too hard. My answer was a bit too defensive and I think I came off as sounding like a know it all and not a team player. I was told the position was eliminated, not that I was rejected. I don't know if that's true, but that's what I was told.
- Can you tell me about a famous person you admire?
- What are some challenges you think our company is facing?
Sales Engineer Intern
The interview process was pretty chill. First, we had an on-campus interview. Then, the second interview was at a coffee shop nearby. They mostly asked about my resume and did a lot of just chatting to get a feel for personalities. The interviewers were all really down-to-earth. They also asked about the product I'd be selling.
- What do you know about our product?
