Customer Engagement Manager
So, my interview experience at RocketLane involved four stages. There was a presentation round where I had to create and deliver a full PowerPoint demo. Plus, they had me build two separate applications using Claude as part of the process. It felt like a lot – four rounds, a whole presentation, and two functional apps. Honestly, at some point, it felt less like an interview and more like unpaid consulting. The requirements were huge and took up a ton of time, but they were really unclear about how decisions were made, the timeline, or how candidates stacked up against each other. If you're going to demand that much effort from candidates, there needs to be a clear scoring system, real feedback, and good communication throughout. That's not what happened here. It seemed like they kept asking for more and more without respecting my time. A hiring process should check skills and fit, not just see how much free work someone will do. If you're thinking about interviewing here, brace yourself for a long process loaded with assignments. Make sure you clarify expectations early and decide your limits on how much unpaid work you'll do.

Account Executive
This interview experience for the Account Executive role at Rocketlane was confusing and disappointing. After the first interview in November 2024, there was no clear follow-up. Despite reaching out, I was told the role was on hold. Months later, when the role was reposted, I reapplied. After prompting HR, I learned the original hiring manager had left and I'd meet a new one. I completed three rounds, including one with senior leadership, and reached the final panel interview. However, this final round was conducted by mid-market AEs for an SMB AE role, and neither the hiring manager nor leadership were present. This peer interaction felt stressful and confusing, with irrelevant and inconsistent questions. The expectations and interview tone shifted from earlier rounds. Even though leadership gave positive signals, I was rejected based on a decision from peers who didn't seem to understand the role's scope. My request to the current hiring manager for feedback on the final interview went unanswered. If you're considering applying, be aware that without internal connections, the process can be frustrating due to disorganization, lack of transparency, and disregard for candidate time.

Customer Success Operations Analyst
So the interviews were like four parts. First was a quick HR call, just checking on where I live, how much I've worked, what I earned and what I want, why I left my last job, if I'm available, and if I'd move. They also threw in two simple logic puzzles about chances. Then, they gave me a task using Excel and Tableau to look into customer churn. I had to clean up data, make sense of it, build some dashboards, and figure out what we could do about it. After that, I had to show my work to the Regional Manager. We talked a lot about how I did the analysis, especially about numbers like ARR, NRR, and CHS, and they really wanted to know how I think. They also gave me a guesstimate question then. The last round was with a VP in the US, pretty chill but tough. He hit me with three tricky logic puzzles using Venn diagrams and probability, but I got them. Then we just chatted about times I faced problems, what I learned, my studies, things I did well, and where I messed up.

Senior Leader
The hiring process felt a bit all over the place. Over about two months, I went through six or seven interviews, each about 30-45 minutes long, with some of the senior folks, including co-founders. The communication after each step was super slow, sometimes taking weeks to get an update, which honestly felt pretty disrespectful of my time and all the prep I’d done. It made me think they might not have much experience hiring for senior roles and, more importantly, don't really care about candidates' time. The final round involved a presentation, and even after chasing them, it took over ten days to hear back about how it went – definitely not a good look. It seems like poor communication is just how they operate, and respect and professionalism aren't big on their radar. Also, in a chat with a co-founder, they kept cutting me off and got pretty heated just because I had a different opinion. It really solidified my feeling that this place isn't set up for good teamwork and collaboration.
