I had a total of 4 interviews, all over the phone and one via Zoom. The process was very thorough, but it aligned with their vision. I am excited to join a team with experience and passion for helping families succeed with their mortgage needs. My position is remote with the ability to go into the office, but I'm required to do most of my work out in the field.

I went through two phone interviews and a 40-minute assessment. While I liked the position, I ultimately turned it down. Reviews from current and former employees align with my interview experience, highlighting cons. I was asked to postpone a weekend trip, which made me question the 9-6 M-F schedule. There were other instances of what felt like overreach and boundary-testing, like scheduling an interview and then moving it up by 30 minutes via text with no check-in on my availability. This behavior started during the interview process and seems indicative of the work culture. My interviewer mentioned that top performers get promoted and leave early after years of meeting targets, implying long hours are standard. Pay attention to how they conduct the interview process; it's a preview of what's to come. If the demands are manageable for you, then pursue it.

I sent my resume and had an initial phone screen with the recruiter. Then, I went through a virtual job tryout that lasted about 45-60 minutes. The questions in the tryout were tricky, and they seemed to downplay how important it was to pick the right answer. The tryout felt like a big waste of time because they train you on exactly what to do and how to do the job for six months anyway. The training pay is very low, just $15/hr. They expect you to work 60-80 hours a week, including weekends, with an average yearly pay of around $70k. If you have kids or a significant other, this could be a real problem. But if you don't mind not having free time, this role could be great for you.
