Business Analyst
So first you apply online on their website. After that, you get the first call. They'll set up a quick phone interview for a later date. That interview is a personality test. They give a quick brief summary of your resume. If you're a match, they will set up another phone interview. (Note: they might not set it up during the first one, so don't freak out). Second interview will be with a senior recruiter, or the team you might be on. These interviews are personality tests as well. Just certain key questions to see if you match our culture here. Just be yourself! Don't try to sound all smart and use huge words out of place. If you are a good person, with a good attitude, and a willingness to learn, you will get a job here.
- How do you fit our company culture?
- Can you describe yourself confidently, but not excessively?
Business Analyst
I had a phone interview for a Business Analyst role at Quicken Loans. It seems like I only got the interview because of a connection I have through a friend to someone who used to work in Quicken's HR department. It's kind of disappointing that hiring decisions might be based on who you know rather than qualifications. The person I spoke with, who was apparently part of this connection chain, didn't ask me any actual job-related questions or test my knowledge. They just went through my resume and asked about my previous salaries. It felt like they were just trying to get salary information from interviewees.
- What was your salary at your most recent previous position?
Business Analyst
I had an initial call with the recruiter from Quicken Loans, then a phone interview with the team, followed by a face-to-face interview. After that, the recruiter called with the results. I interviewed more than once and even asked for feedback, but didn't get any.
- What technical skills do you have?
- Can you discuss the methodologies you've worked with?
- What IT tools have you used?
