First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Rocket Pharma.
Director
After a positive first interview, and a confirmation that I would be moved to the next round the recruiter then ghosted me and never responded to my emails to confirm next steps.
- Can you discuss your previous experience?
- Tell me about times you drove growth and transformation.
- What is your experience in changing culture?
Senior Scientist
It started with a recruiter call, then a chat with the hiring manager, and wrapped up with an in-person panel interview with the team. The whole thing was really well-organized and moved fast. Everyone I talked to was up for a good discussion and was really nice and respectful, from the newer folks to the senior leaders.
- Can you provide detailed descriptions of common cell-based screening assays that would be conducted in a lab setting?
- The question aimed to assess your knowledge on how to execute the aforementioned assays.
- This was presented as a discussion rather than a test.
Associate Director
I applied online and they got back to me right away. First, I had a phone chat with the recruiter. Then, about two weeks later, I had a virtual interview with the hiring manager. After that, I spent a whole day doing virtual interviews with the senior leadership team, and to finish it off, I gave a 20-minute presentation. The whole thing took roughly 8 weeks.
- Were there questions about the rare disease community?
- Did the questions cover geographical influence?
- Were there questions about relationships with HCPs?
Clinical Manager
Got a fast response after applying. Had several virtual meetings over a few days. Then, it was quiet. Was told there was one more person to interview with. It took 2 weeks to schedule. During the meeting, the interviewer seemed uninterested, didn't answer my questions well, and I wasn't sure what her role was. She seemed defensive. I expected to hear back, but didn't. Essentially, I was rushed and then ghosted.
- This was a pretty standard interview.
- It wasn't difficult.
