First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Rochester Regional Health.
AI/ML Engineer
it was pretty straight forward they just asked question about one tool, and its comparison to other industry tools and a bit about the projects i had implemented. Behavioural was also somewhat similar with situational questions
- How does Power BI compare to Tableau?
- Tell me about the projects you've implemented.
- How would you handle these kinds of situations?
Cloud AI Engineer
I first talked to a recruiter from a third-party company who then connected me with someone at the actual organization. The job posting listed a lot of different technologies. The second round was mostly asking about whether I had experience with specific tools, and since I hadn't used enough of them, I didn't advance. It seems like they're looking for someone who has already worked with the industry-standard large infrastructure environments, like: infrastructure-as-code (IaC), Collibra, Snowflake, AWS & GCP, Docker & Kubernetes, AI/ML & RAG, HL7 & HIPAA, and coding in Python & TypeScript, etc. They also want someone who can 'Stay current with emerging technologies in AI, cloud computing, and healthcare IT,' and they mentioned needing about '3 years' of experience plus a degree.
- Did you have experience with this tool versus that tool?
Licensed Practical Nurse
It was smooth, I shadowed then interviewed with a manager and a nurse. It was about 30 minutes long, a nice no pressure situation. They explained why they stayed, where they started at. I usually get nervous, but it was great. Shadowing was pleasant.
- What are your 5-year aspirations within our company?
- Do your long-term objectives align with this organization?
HR
I had a brief chat with the recruiter, followed by a phone screen with the VP of HR. The VP himself then scheduled my in-person meeting with the hiring manager, which I then attended. Everyone was really friendly and engaging throughout the process. Unfortunately, I never received any feedback and only found out the position was filled by checking the applicant portal. I'm sure it was a competitive role, and while the interviews themselves seemed to go well, it was disappointing not to get any follow-up, especially a personal email from recruiting about other potential opportunities, after completing three rounds.
