First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Robroy Industries.
Production Associate
Interview was smooth, and they explained the job description well. The supervisor was open to questions and answered them thoroughly. They explained about pre-hire job assessment tests, the physical requirements, compensation, and background check. This job does random drug tests, so don't apply if you have any issues, other than that it's a great work environment.
- Can you tell me about your past experiences that would be a good fit for our company?
Accounting Support
You apply online and a few days later, the HR specialist calls to set up an interview. It's one-on-one at their Gilmer Conduit office. You'll sign in and get a tag number for your suit upon arrival. After the interview, there's an assessment test to be done in under 24 hours. I think this test is where I messed up. It covers basic knowledge and some machine operations, which I didn't know well since I'm an accounting student. My main issue was time. The test has multiple sections, some with 30 seconds for 10+ questions, and another part with 45 questions in 7 minutes. You have to go super fast; it felt like a gamble. Good luck, and remember to research and be ready for salary talks after the interview.
- Tell me about a time you communicated with senior staff and what happened.
- Describe a situation where you disagreed with a company policy and the results.
- Share an instance where you had to juggle multiple tasks.
Controls Engineer
The interview process is pretty thorough and broken down into steps to find a qualified and knowledgeable candidate. It begins with a phone interview, then an online test, followed by a review of that test, an IQ Test, a face-to-face interview and review, medical checks, background checks, and finally salary negotiation. All these steps are in place to ensure we meet the company's strict requirements.
- Can you describe your previous work experience that is relevant to this role?
- What specific skills do you possess that are required for this job?
Plant Manager
The whole interview thing was quick. They like to get stuff done in 48 hours and you can tell with their interview process. The HR manager was really professional and to the point. It was a typical plant tour followed by a panel interview. The panel interview got held up because someone from their team was late. One of the main people on the panel was pretty crude with his language. I'm not sure if that's just him or if he was trying to throw me off.
