Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Robinhood.
Intern
The interview process was pretty simple. Mostly behavioral questions with a bit of technical stuff. The interviewers were from the team I was looking to join. It wasn't too stressful overall.
- Tell me about a significant challenge you've overcome.
Public Policy Intern
I went through two rounds of interviews, one right after the other. First, I talked with someone from the team, and then with the director of the program area. They asked a lot of questions tailored to the internship, but the director also asked more general questions to see if I'd be a good fit personality-wise. I didn't get any word back for about three weeks.
- How would you handle a communication crisis?
Intern
I had a really nice chat with the recruiter first. Then, about a week later, I had a video call with two managers. The first manager talked a lot, leaving me with little chance to speak. The second manager was more receptive to my input. I felt good about the interviews and thought I'd get an offer, but unfortunately, I didn't. It's okay though.
- What made you want to apply to Robinhood?
- Can you tell me what you know about investing?
