& Process

The interview was held on Zoom, but the interviewers were a bit late joining, around 10 to 15 minutes. When they did join, we started by going over my portfolio in detail. After that, we chatted about what I'd be interested in working on at the firm.

I had an in-person interview with a senior associate at the New York office. It was a pleasant arrival and greeting process with minimal waiting time in their extensive foyer library. The large part of my interview was held in a small breakout conference room and mainly consisted of a presentation of my portfolio of work, some questions as to my level of involvement on some of the more impressive projects and then a short introduction to the way they work. My interviewer also invited a partner in to chat with me shortly before giving a full tour of the studio floor including their extensive materials libraries, model shop, individual design studios, and even a walk-through of Mr. Stern's personal office space.

HR reached out via phone and email to set up the interview, which was scheduled for two weeks out. The interview itself lasted about an hour. It focused on my past work history and portfolio, and HR also gave an overview of ongoing and future projects.
