I had a 1-hour interview for a thesis topic. It was mostly questions about my past projects, my experience in the topic's related area, and how I'd approach the project. If I passed, I would have had a short coding assessment, but I didn't get that far.

I received a phone call inviting me for an onsite interview - I mentioned in the call that I had to check my schedule, and asked the recruiter to send me an email instead so that I could provide my availability. The recruiter agreed to do so, but the next day I received a rejection email saying my skills and experiences did not match with their goals.
