So, I had this interview for a Marketing Communications Specialist role. It started with a first round with the manager where they asked me about my background and experience. Then, the second round was with three people from the Marketing Comms team. They asked standard questions, some hypothetical ones, and I also got to ask them about the day-to-day stuff. After that, I never heard back from them, they totally ghosted me.

The hiring process took a while, but they let me know upfront it was because they were swamped. First, I had to do a video interview that I recorded and sent in. A couple weeks later, a recruiter called me and we scheduled an in-person interview. About a week and a half after that, I got an email saying they weren't moving forward with my application. I really appreciated that the rejection email wasn't generic; it actually thanked me, gave me specific reasons why I didn't get the job, and even suggested another role I might be a better fit for down the line. Even though I'm not holding my breath for that, the genuine feedback was great. I've been getting rejected for jobs for two years since graduating, and this was honestly the best and most useful rejection I've ever had. It really means a lot when you're honest and helpful, even when you're turning someone down!

So, I had 3 interviews and then 2 tests before they decided on someone else. The team was super helpful, friendly, and kind. They were really looking for specific things: someone who's crushed big deals fast in high-volume phone sales, has amazing communication and customer service skills to really connect with people, genuinely loves helping others grow, is a competitive go-getter focused on hitting targets in a fast-paced sales setting, and knows their way around CRMs like Salesforce for tracking and improving. I felt I met all their criteria, but they went with another candidate in the end. Hope this helps!

I had 5 interviews with RRI over 30 days. They asked me the same questions each time and then rejected me without explanation, suggesting my prior experience as a business coach might have been the issue. This was frustrating because I'm going through a divorce and have been focused on my business, which isn't meeting my financial needs. I love sales and coaching and was eager to start in an entry-level role with the company, despite my 10 years of B2B phone sales experience, and felt the interviews went well.
