The whole thing took about 6 months, and I had to basically drive the entire process myself. I kept having to email and call HR to figure out where we were at. HR could only give me the contact info for the head of the committee, but they never responded. The actual interview was with a panel of six people, and they each asked a pre-written question. There wasn't any time to actually get to know anyone, and it felt like they had already decided before I even started.

The interview process was informative and allowed me to better understand the position. I had a great conversation with Kelly and would recommend this position to people in the future.

The interview process was very professional and welcoming. It started with a phone interview, and then I was invited to Salem, VA to visit the campus and meet the department. I had a full half-day of interviews and lunch with the department members. Many of the employees I met were "lifers" – they either went to Roanoke College or have lived in the area most of their lives. Despite this, they were very educated and incredibly welcoming. Even though things didn't work out, I felt great about the experience and the college overall.
