First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Road to Hire.
Program Associate
The interview process was quite extensive, involving several different people from the company. The staff were friendly and asked good questions. The recruiter kept me updated well, though they unfortunately got laid off towards the end. The company didn't seem very stable.
- Can you describe your current role and how it connects to the position you're applying for?
Professional Development Instructor
The interview process started with a phone interview, followed by a virtual interview. Then there was a 2-hour virtual interview with instructors and the recruiter, which included a 15-minute teaching presentation. Everyone involved in the hiring process at Road to Hire was courteous and passionate about selecting the right candidate.
- Why are you interested in Road to Hire?
Technical Instructor
So the interview process kicked off with a phone interview, then I had a 30-minute technical interview with a staff member where they asked some straightforward coding questions. After that, I had to do a presentation to a class and then a behavioral interview with two other people. The only bummer was that they seemed to ghost after that, which is a bit frustrating since I went through all three rounds and never heard back, whether it was a yes or no.
- Could you explain the difference between left and right joins in SQL?
Director
Started with a phone chat with HR, then had video interviews with a few team folks, and finally a video chat with the hiring manager. Took around 2 months to hear back about the decision.
- Tell me about your passion for R2H's mission.
