I applied and got a rejection email, but then HR reached out saying the candidate fell through. I spoke with HR, and then the hiring manager. The hiring manager interviewed me for about 45 minutes and then moved me to a writing assignment round. I was sent the prompts with a typo and had to ask for clarification. The deadline was very tight, with only 48 hours, and I had a full day of meetings and sick kids. I submitted the assignment, but it wasn't my best work. I never heard back. After two weeks, I got another generic rejection email, which also had a typo. I appreciated the quick pace of the interviews, though.

A recruiter initially contacted me and was helpful throughout. After my resume was submitted, an interview was set up. There was a mix-up with the time, so I ended up being 30 minutes early and had to rejoin when the hiring manager was free, which wasn't the best start. However, the hiring manager was really nice and clearly knew their stuff. They asked tough questions because they knew exactly what they wanted, and honestly, it was a bit beyond my technical expertise, so I didn't get a second interview. I followed up with the recruiter a couple of days later and was informed I wouldn't be proceeding.

About a week after the interview, the recruiter emailed, saying the team felt it went well and asked how I felt about the role. I responded positively, but unfortunately, I got a rejection email about two weeks later. It was a bummer, but I had a feeling the team might have thought I was a little overqualified, so that's my best guess why it didn't work out. Overall, it seemed like a solid team that values work/life balance, so I'd still recommend applying!

The next week, I went in person for an interview with two people who shared a lot about the company and asked me about myself, my background, and what I'm interested in. It was a really positive experience; they seemed genuinely interested in getting to know me to see if I'd fit in well with their culture. I appreciated that they didn't try to lead me to specific answers, which was refreshing! A few days later, I had a 15-minute chat with the sales director, and a couple of days after that, I got the job offer.
