Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at RLDatix.
Senior Software Engineer
The interview process was well organized, with nice vibes and great people. The VP of IT was particularly memorable, as she has a unique way of assessing individuals, believing that while other skills can be taught, inherent humanity is a core trait that cannot be trained.
- Tell me about something in your career that you are most proud of.
Software Engineer
Started with a phone chat with HR covering behavioral stuff. Then went to an on-site meeting with the team lead and another person from the team for technical questions and some whiteboarding.
- In five years, where do you envision yourself?
Software Developer
A recruitment agency reached out and set up a "personality" review with the company to chat about my work history and get more details on the role. Then, a few days later, they set up another "technical" interview with a senior developer to go over programming concepts and questions like "What is your knowledge of X technology", "What would you do in X situation", etc.
- Can you explain MVC, its acronym, and its purpose? (This was part of a discussion on design patterns)
- Do you understand Test Driven Development and its benefits? Have you worked in a TDD environment before?
- Are you familiar with pair programming?
