First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Rivkin Radler.
Data Entry Clerk
I was called in for an interview. They had me do a computer test that checked my typing and spelling skills, and also my Word abilities. Then I met with HR and the manager. After that, they offered me the job.
- Can you tell me why you left your last job?
Associate Attorney
I had an interview for the Associate Attorney role with 3 attorneys. They didn't explain the role or seem to have read my resume. They focused a lot on billing practices and even criticized one of the interviewers for past inadequate billing. It felt like they weren't really interested in interviewing me. After the interview, they ghosted me, even though I sent thank-you emails immediately and followed up with HR.
- If offered the position, would you lean more towards drafting legal documents or engaging in litigation?
Paralegal
The interview was conducted over Zoom and the people I spoke with were very friendly and responsive. I had an initial interview and then they invited me back for a second interview. We discussed my life experiences more than my work experiences. Although it had the feel of a large law firm, the people seemed very approachable.
- What motivated your decision to pursue a career in law?
Associate
I initially spoke with an HR person who was very pleasant. Then, I met with two partners. They primarily discussed the role, and when they asked me questions, I barely had a chance to respond. At the end, they cut off my questions due to lack of time.
- Are you going to be like the associates who complain?
- Would you be the type of person who complains, similar to those we currently have?
