First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Rivier University.
Director
The interview was done over Zoom since the university wasn't fully back to in-person. There were several rounds of interviews, and I met with more than 15 people. Having worked in higher education for years, I can say that if so many people need to be involved in interviews, the process needs to be more efficient.
- Can you share examples of your past work that align with the requirements of this position?
Department Coordinator
The interview process was pretty simple. I had a total of four interviews. First, there was a quick 10-15 minute phone screen where I got to know more about the job and was asked to provide references. After that, I went into the office to meet the department director. Then, I was invited back for a third interview to meet more of the team. The last interview was with one of the VPs at the University.
- What motivates your interest in working for Rivier?
Faculty
The hiring process involved several interviews and meetings with faculty, staff, and students. Everyone was nice and friendly. I never felt uncomfortable. The process was pretty standard.
- Were there any unexpected questions during the interview process?
