First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at RiverWoods.
Host
We met in person to discuss your expectations and past experiences. We covered the scheduled hours and pay, and I wanted to make sure that was clear. Benefits, attitude, and uniform were also discussed. I also needed to confirm travel coverage and any blackout days you might have. Lastly, we went over the menu and kitchen procedures to ensure you understood and memorized them.

Student Job
I met with a salesperson in the store and gave them my resume. Then I was hired by the store manager. There was a phone interview, and then we arranged to meet in the store via email. Everything went well. Very professional. Quick. Efficient.
- What's your mode of transport?
- Are you available during the week and also on weekends?
- How many hours do you have available?
Accountant
HR called me first for a screen, then I went in for an in-person interview. The phone screener was nice and explained the job well. The in-person interview went over the basics of the job and the requirements.
- How do you collaborate with other departments?
Administrative
First, I had a phone interview. Then, I was invited for an in-person interview with the person I would be reporting to. They were really nice and spent a good amount of time explaining the job requirements.
