The hiring process started with a phone interview, and then there was an informal in-person meeting. They said I pretty much had the job over the phone. The in-person meeting was to see if I would be a good fit with the team, and they talked a lot about how they were like family and valued my time. Both interviews went over the scheduled time by about 30 minutes. After that, I didn't hear from them for over a month.

They'll call you to come in for an interview. I didn't get a confirmation email, but when I showed up, they pretty much asked me why I wanted to be a nurse, seeing as I was a new grad, and why I picked the ED. They also asked me to share a time I dealt with a difficult patient.

The whole process took 49 days from applying to starting the job. It was 28 days from when the recruiter first contacted me to when I got the offer. There were 3 in-person interviews before the offer, and that part took 15 days. After I applied, the recruiter called the next week for a quick 20-minute phone chat. We went over my resume, school, and background, talked about the job, and they asked some basic questions. Two days later, the hiring manager called to set up an in-person interview for the next week. It was over an hour long, with standard questions about the role and how my experience matched what they needed. It felt like a real conversation, and they took a lot of notes, mentioning other people were also being interviewed. Early the following week, I got a call to schedule a second in-person interview with senior staff and the hiring manager for the week after. This second interview felt more like a meeting, with a casual chat between everyone. They asked directly about how I'd fit into the team. The day after that, the hiring manager invited me for a tour and to meet the staff, which happened the next day. Then, the business day after that, the recruiter called with an offer. I started two weeks after that.

The first interview was with an HR recruiter, lasting about 30 minutes. I was then scheduled for an in-person interview. I was told I would hear about a decision in two weeks, but the HR person was out of office, followed by the hiring manager being out of office. After three weeks of no response, I saw the job posted on another site. Shortly after, I received a standard email, the kind you get when your application is reviewed but you're not considered for the job.
