Behavioral Technical Case

The interview process was straightforward and conducted entirely remotely due to COVID. I had 5 interviews with Senior Managers and Directors, spread out over about 3 months. It was a lengthy process, but HR made it easy to navigate. They initially indicated they wanted to make an offer after a 3-month interview process. However, the Head of Operations contacted me to renegotiate salary expectations, which was surprising after they had already stated their intention to offer the role. I agreed to a slight reduction, but the next day, they decided to 'hold on hiring and not make an offer,' seemingly withdrawing the offer conversation because they didn't achieve the desired pay cut after trying to negotiate post-offer intention.

Behavioral Technical Case

It was seven rounds, a lot of it was about making sure my past experience was relevant and that I had the right attitude and fit for a client services organization. Some questions were technical, focusing on ASC 606 and ASC 842 implementation experience. They also asked about business combination and IPO readiness experience, along with challenges faced.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I was contacted by an outside recruiter about a director level position. The interview process and the offer were bizarre. I went through 7 rounds, some phone interviews and some on-site. Some were one-on-one and some with multiple people. Most interviewers spoke highly of the company but avoided discussing the attrition rate. They seemed focused on Riveron's unique pay structure, despite LinkedIn research suggesting high turnover within a year and that many hires couldn't succeed at other top consulting firms. Ultimately, after 7 rounds, no hiring decision was made. Instead, they asked me to resign from my current job and join Riveron on a trial basis. The company needs to improve its decision-making process and stop wasting candidates' time.
