First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ritz Camera Centers.
Store Manager
It was a very straightforward interview. I was hired at 18 and became a manager at 20. As long as you know cameras and photography you can get this job if they are hiring.
- During the interview I was asked to sell an item to the person who was interviewing me.
Sales Associate
The application was pretty long, like 5 pages, but it does a good job of filtering out people who aren't serious. Most people I've seen get hired, and myself too, only had one interview with the store manager. The questions were pretty standard.
- What's your take on the saying, "The customer is always right?"
Sales Associate
I applied in person and then had two interviews with different experienced employees from different locations. They weren't super hard, but I think they were about right for the job. If you're going for this, I'd suggest learning about normal retail expectations and at least basic digital photography.
- How would you handle a situation where you suspected a customer was stealing?
