Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Rituals.
Area Manager
Three online interviews and one in-person. Very professional and made me feel very comfortable. They explain perfectly and give you enough time to answer. The last interview is the most complicated and all are done with different personnel.
- What is your sales volume?
- How many stores are you in charge of?
- What is your annual growth?
Area Manager
The interview was with Lauren, who was really passionate about the business, to the point of selling me on the company culture and her love for the brand. She was a good listener and asked clarifying questions, but most importantly, she was genuine and herself. It felt like a real conversation, not scripted.
- Can you tell me about your background and experience?
- What motivates you to pursue this opportunity?
- What are your long-term aspirations?
Supervisor
I applied for the supervisor job and had a phone interview and a Teams interview. I also spent a lot of time at a Rituals store, doing research and preparing questions. I was really disappointed to only get an email two weeks after my Teams interview. I asked for feedback right away because I thought it was reasonable given the time I invested. When I got no response, I tried messaging them on LinkedIn, but still no reply. The whole application service felt really unprofessional. The interviewer was late for both interviews, and the generic email with no response was unacceptable. I wish they would value the time candidates put into the process.
- How would you boost sales on a slow day?
