Assistant Manager
It started with a Teams call with the hiring manager. Then, if that went well, I had to go to a store and act like a mystery shopper. I had to write up a 30/60/90 plan based on what I found, to get ready for an in-person interview with the store manager. The last step was an interview with the area manager, which could have been on Teams or in person. The whole thing was pretty good, they were nice to me and I thought it went okay. But then, they said I'd hear back and no one did. They didn't even reply when I messaged them. It was super frustrating because I put in so much work and they couldn't even send a basic email or reply.
- Write a 30/60/90 day plan.
- Go to a store and act as a mystery shopper.
- Develop a 30/60/90 day plan after mystery shopping a store.
Senior Manager
The whole interview process had 5 phases: pre-screening call with local HR, call with global HR, interview with key stakeholders, case study and the final interview with GM & HR. It was an overall easy process and the global HR Manager was very professional & nice, but everything took so long - more than 2 months from the 1st to the final call. The final interview was, unfortunately, highly unprofessional. From this kind of company, thriving on balance and self care, I did not expect questions regarding my private life (which are illegal by the way), but it happened - not once, not twice. The interview also left me with the thought I will never be hired by any company because I’m a parent and cannot spend more than 8h at work due to my caregiver responsibilities.
- How do you plan to balance your work and private life? Do you have a nanny for your kids, is there a preschool, or do you rely on grandparents?
Assistant Manager
Everything went really smoothly and quickly! I was hired within 1 week and everything was sorted within another 2 weeks! First, I had to do an online test, which took quite a long time. But if you get through that, you hear back pretty quickly. Within a week, I was called and had an application interview and a shadow day.
- What is your motivation for wanting to join Rituals, and what qualities do you possess that make you a good fit for the position?
- Could you elaborate on why you are a suitable candidate for this role at Rituals?
