First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Rituals.
Customer Service Representative
The entire morning was an event held at an event space. It was all very interactive and enjoyable. First, the company, its history, products, goals, and profile were presented. Then, we were invited to explore and test all the products. After a coffee break, we started doing some tasks in small groups and finished with a brief individual interview. After that day, those who passed would go to an individual interview to learn more about the role and its details, but I didn't advance due to availability.

- What are your working hour availabilities?
Customer Service Representative
First, you have to complete a personality test and an IQ test, which will take about 45 minutes. After that, you wait a week for a call where they ask some basic questions, like why you want to work for Rituals. If you pass this stage, you'll then complete a written assignment that takes about an hour. This assignment includes various scenarios with questions, complaints, and praises that you need to respond to. I then had to wait another week without any updates. I didn't get any further, so I'm not sure about the subsequent steps. However, if you get to the writing test, make sure your answers are very creative and you engage with the writer of the comment as much as possible.
- Why do you think you would be a good fit for Rituals?
Customer Service Representative
So I started with this general aptitude test, like language and logic, which took about an hour and a half. Then, I got a quick phone call, more like a short chat than a formal interview. After that, they sent me a writing test. The task was to respond to 8 customer inquiries across different social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, and I had to do it in two languages within an hour. They really wanted us to be creative and think outside the box. I didn't make it through this time, but the final step is a longer interview. The feedback on my last test was that my responses were too informal and didn't mention the Rituals products, even though the instructions said not to worry about that stuff. So, if you get this far, be creative but also keep it commercial, like a salesperson, and sneak in mentions of Rituals products. The whole thing took about two weeks, and it was a pretty pleasant experience overall, the recruiter was super nice.
