Sales Development Representative
Rippling keeps things pretty organized at first, usually getting back within 48 hours with what's next. The first couple of rounds are standard behavioral chats. Things get a bit messy after that, though. They gave super clear instructions for the mock call and later interviews, but then changed the order without really telling anyone. This was annoying because we were supposed to get 30 minutes to prep between calls, and that didn't always happen. Also, the people in charge were hard to get ahold of and slow to respond when I needed clarification.
- What makes you want to join Rippling and pursue a career in sales?
- Can you share an instance where you accomplished something you initially believed to be impossible?
- Describe a situation where you were given feedback.
Sales Development Representative
The interview process was great - seamless and quick. Rippling moves fast and it shows in the interview process. There were 4 rounds including a role play exercise (mock call) in the 4th round. The first round was with a recruiter, second round with a manager. Third round with a senior manager. Fourth round was with a senior manager which included the role play exercise. The recruiter will be a helpful guide and resource throughout to help you prepare as you progress through each round.

Sales Development Representative
I applied for the SDR role in NYC and the interview process had 3 stages: a screen call, a hiring manager call, and then a director meeting that also included a mock call with the NYC manager. The first two stages were good and informative, but the last round felt confusing and unnecessary. Some questions I was supposed to answer were meant for the second interview, but I didn't mind answering them again since the earlier rounds were positive and I wanted to show my interest in the company. The worst part was the mock call with the NYC manager. Even though I successfully booked a meeting during the role-play, which was the main objective, she only said it was "solid" and I had to push for feedback. The only feedback I got was to "ask more probing questions in your discovery next time." What really frustrated me was her comment that most clients would just try to brush you off, and I thought to myself, isn't the point to handle objections, qualify, and book a meeting? Whether they brush me off or not is out of my control. She ended the interview 12 minutes early, and it made no sense why we didn't retry the mock call with her feedback. Her lack of willingness to discuss the job's day-to-day responsibilities was a turn-off, and honestly, I'm glad I'm not there now. It's just frustrating that my time was wasted, going through all the rounds just to get a lukewarm rejection.
- Can you share an instance where you received feedback and applied it?
