First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Rippling.
Field Marketing Manager
The interview process involved a recruiter call, followed by an interview with the hiring manager. Then there was a really tough take-home assignment. After that, I had another interview with the hiring manager, then two interviews with stakeholders, and finally an interview with a sales executive. The whole thing took about a month from the first interview to getting an offer.
- Describe your approach to managing a field activation from beginning to end.
Growth Manager
It was a pretty long interview process, but the take-home assessment was actually pretty fun and interesting. So, the first step was directly with the hiring manager. After that, I had an assessment to complete. Then came three more interviews, each lasting an hour, with various people across the company.
- If Rippling missed its lead targets, how would you approach a sales meeting?
Marketing Manager
The interview process was pretty fast, with three interviews and a work assignment. The initial hiring manager interview went okay, but the two people I spoke with afterward seemed unprepared. They hadn't even reviewed my assignment beforehand, even though I'd sent it over. I had to spend 10 minutes explaining my project to one of them because he thought the hiring manager wasn't looking for someone who could handle trade shows, even though two out of three sections of my assignment were about conferences. There was a clear mismatch in what skills they were looking for. Another panelist wasn't sure about the hiring criteria, which made the conversation awkward. After all that, I was told they went with someone else who had examples of different campaigns. The most frustrating part was that the questions they asked were very specific, so I only gave examples related to that, and I didn't get much time to elaborate. To top it off, two and a half weeks after I was rejected, one of the interviewers asked for access to my assignment. It's strange to need access to it after rejecting me, and it's disappointing they didn't bother reviewing it before our interview. I refused to share my work for free, so I changed the link from public to private.
- Can you describe what activities are undertaken after an event concludes?
Rippling Marketing Manager Interview Questions
Quoted word for word from Rippling interview reports.
“Given a 3-day email campaign where emails are sent every other day, and each email has a 28% reply rate, with the constraint that a lead stops receiving emails after the next one is sent and is removed from the campaign if they reply, calculate the probability that a lead will not reply to any email. Also, determine the probability that a lead will reply to either the second or the third email.”
