First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Rippling.
Customer Success Manager
The interview process was pretty organized but felt like a chat. They really cared about how I'd handle real-life situations, looking at my problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills, and basically seeing if I fit the role and the team.
- Can you describe a time you dealt with a challenging customer scenario where expectations weren't aligned, and explain how you managed to balance empathy, accountability, and business goals under pressure?
Customer Success Manager
The process is great and well organized. However, it seems many candidates don't get past the presentation stage. The instructions might be out of date, and clear expectations aren't always set beforehand.
- Why are you a strong candidate for this role?
Customer Success Manager
The hiring process started with a phone screen with a recruiter who was very professional and knowledgeable, explaining the job description clearly. We talked about my background and career goals. Next, I had a Zoom call with a peer, which was a great conversation about company culture, the role in more detail, and some behavioral questions. The final interview involved a mock sales presentation to a manager and peer. Rippling provided all the necessary materials for this. It was challenging, and they asked many specific questions, so it's important to thoroughly review the provided information beforehand. After a couple of weeks, the recruiter called to offer me the job. It was a quick but well-thought-out process, and everyone I met was excellent.
- Could you tell me about the KPIs you've managed and how you approach customer prioritization?
- How do you prioritize your customers?
