First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ripple Junction.
Accessory Designer
Had a video interview with the Art Director, which went well. He seemed great and took time to get to know me professionally and personally. Then I got assigned a test project that turned out to be multiple projects and took more time than I liked. I got the job offer, and the work could be fun, but I declined because the offer was low and they wouldn't negotiate the on-site location or increase the offer.
- Can you describe your experience and knowledge regarding licensed products?
Buyer Planner
So I had a phone interview with the recruiter first. Then I had a Teams interview with the hiring manager that went for more than an hour. After that, I went to their office for an in-person interview with two other people, which also took about an hour. This was quite a drive for me though. In the end, I got ghosted and never heard back, even after I followed up. It's just not professional to ghost candidates.
- How do you strategically approach a new business?
Product Manager
The whole thing was 3 interviews before they gave me an offer. First was a 30 min phone call with the VP of product management. Then I had an in-person with 2 VPs and the COO, which went for about 2 hours. The last one was an in-person with the CEO over breakfast, lasting about an hour.
- Tell me about your relevant work experience.
- Do you work well independently or with others?
- Describe a difficult situation you faced at work.
Human Resources
The lobby was dark and unattended when I got there. The employees didn't look happy, even with perks like bringing dogs to work and a cool kitchen. The interviewers focused on a job I had 20 years ago, which wasn't relevant to this role. It left me feeling confused.
- How would you encourage employees to return to the office?
