Project Designer
So, I had two rounds of interviews. The first one was with some of the senior management folks, where I got to show off my portfolio and talk about my past work. They also gave me the lowdown on the office vibe and the general work culture there. Then, in the second round, I chatted with a few of the senior staff members. Besides diving deeper into my work, they were curious about my interests and passions outside of architecture, basically trying to see what kind of unique perspective I could bring to the studio.
- Which project phases have you been involved in?
- Tell me about your portfolio and experience.
- What are your interests and passions beyond architecture?
Architect
This was a prompt, multi-person interview. The group was very kind. It was easy to arrange and conduct. The questions asked were applicable to the role and the individuals were engaged, which was nice.
- Could you discuss your experience and architectural background?
Designer
The entire interview process stretched out for two months, mainly because of the holiday season delays around Christmas and New Year. Honestly, the interview experience was pretty great, and everyone I met was super friendly. I went through two rounds of interviews. The first one was a video call with some project designers where we talked about my basic experiences. Then, the second round was another video call, this time with studio directors, where we went into more detail about specific projects.
- Could you share some details about the projects you've worked on, whether academic or practical?
Anonymous
After I set up the interview time with HR, I proceeded to be interviewed in a conference room. Depending on which studio was interested in me, they would come to the interview. 5 studios were interested in me so I had about 8 people in the conference room with me. It was overall pretty chill and they seemed interested in my work while I was walking them through my portfolio.
- Can you show me your work?
